Gina earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of Iowa and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Arizona State University (ASU). She is currently licensed as a Associate Counselor (LAC), working towards her Professional Counselor (LPC) credential. She also completed a 200-hr yoga teacher training program for fun.
Before transitioning to private practice, Gina was the Director of the University College Academic Success Programs at Arizona State University where she lead of team of 30+ faculty and won national recognition for innovations in teaching and learning.
She regularly attends 10 day silent vipassana meditation retreats that she credits with teaching her more than any class ever could.
Gina Beyer is a counselor, consultant and content strategist with unbounded energy and love for life. Her areas of expertise include psychology, mindfulness meditation, yoga philosophy and the contemplative sciences – an emerging field of study combining neuroscience, psychology and meditation. She blends her interdisciplinary background into powerful learning experiences designed to enhance individual and organizational wellbeing.
Gina’s private practice is a blend of personalized and experiential learning. Her work focuses on metacognitive skill development and self-regulatory abilities, emotion regulation strategies, meditation techniques for improved wellbeing, and motivational strategies that influence coping skills. Gina embraces an integrative approach to the study of mind and its’ practical applications.
When she's not totally nerding out with her favorite books, she loves laughing with her soul sisters, getting dirty in a garden and going for "nature walks."
